Warm Beetroot Juice

Winter time, over here, is quite a slow time of the year. So, I’m enjoying our warm, bright apartment and experimenting with new recipes. If you’re a fan of mulled wine, you might like this recipe.

I tried to make a non-alcohol, healthier version of mulled wine to detox and to improve my immune system for the winter. This beetroot, apple, orange warm juice is a great replacement for it. Give it a try and let me know what you think ;).

Benefits of juice? Beets are a great source of iron, potassium, magnesium, folic acid and vitamins A, C and B6. Carrots have beta carotene and fiber content and they are rich in vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, vitamin B8, pantothenic acid, folate, potassium, iron, copper, and manganese. Apples are rich in antioxidant phyto-nutrients flavonoids and polyphenolics. Apple fruit contains good quantities of vitamin-C and beta-carotene. Vitamin C is a powerful natural antioxidant. Ginger decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease.


  • 2 big beetroots
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 4 apples
  • an inch of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 4 teaspoon of coconut blossom sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon of vanilla bourbon extract


The only preparation you need to do is to peel away the outer layer of dirt and thicker skin of beetroots, carrots, lemons and oranges. Then chop the carrots, apples, oranges, lemons and beetroots. Once this is done simply put everything through the slow juicer. Pour juice in a bowl and add cinnamon, coconut blossom sugar and vanilla bourbon extract to it, preheat and cook for a 5min.
