Vegetarian Energy Bites

Bubi Bombs

I’m always searching for some healthy snacks that are quick and easy to prepare. There are many great energy bites recipes out there that inspired me to create one on my own. As a WordPress themer i sit a lot in front of my computer and here and there i don’t have time to cook for hours. Bubi bombs recipe is a saver in that case ;).

Many times we feel a need for sweets and most of us take the first thing we can lay our hands on. Empty calories full of white sugar that gives us 1min happiness (it’s not that bad 😉 ), but nothing more. Eating energy bites instead, you get the sweet satisfaction but you also don’t feel hunger for a while. They are very delicious and energizing, I am sure you’ll love them. They are very easy to prepare and don’t take much time. You can even take them with you when you are traveling or to work instead of buying different snacks.

Oh, and the recipe name, Bubi…Bubi is…well…Bubi. A small bear, but not just any bear. He is our lucky charm and a faithful companion on all our journeys. He supervises our every step, motivates and inspires to make another. He loves a good chocolate and listens only to rock music. You can see him on the recipe images ;).

  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 1 cup of cashews
  • 1/2 cup of pecans
  • 1 cup of oat flakes
  • 1 tablespoon 100% raw cacao
  • 4-5 tablespoon of agave syrup
  • 2-3 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • small cup of oat milk

Method

Grind the almonds, cashews, pecans and oat flakes and put it in a bowl. Add cacao, agave syrup, coconut oil and mix it all together ( i do this with bare hands) and at the end add milk. First, add just a half of the milk quantity and mix it together until it unites well. If it is still too dry and falling apart add more milk till you get it right. Ideally, paste needs to look like this:

When the paste is finished, form the round balls with hands in circle motion. To give it an extra taste roll the balls into the coconut blossom sugar!
